Sometimes you just have to try your own product. So tonight I decided to wear the sleep recording equipment I’ve been attaching to veterans for the past two years.
It only took while to hook it up to myself. I’m still awaiting the results. Who knows, perhaps I have sleep apnea and don’t know it.
The beauty of the study we do for the veterans is that we hook them up in their own home, rather than making them spend another night in the hospital. The equipment is portable and can give us accurate information concerning their sleep patterns from the comfort of their own bed.
We come the next morning and pick up the equipment, score the studies and provide the results right in their own home. If they need it, we bring the CPAP machine to their home, help them hook it up and explain how to use it.
It’s been a big success.
I’ll keep you posted on my diagnosis.
