Another morning meeting…another box of doughnuts.
Actually, we’re pretty good about keeping the doughnut consumption to a minimum…no more than three apiece.
You have to build up your sugar and fat reserves to make it through our meetings.
The day started early, dropping Anita off at the airport at 5:00 a.m. She’s spending a few days with her folks in Alabama. She needs the sun and warm Gulf air. I was at work by 5:30 and ready to finish my work day by noon.
But the evening couldn’t have been better. When I got home I found all five of my kids together in the living room. The men joined together to help our neighbor’s drive and push her car out of the snow. All our efforts ended in success only after Marianna placed two sheets of newspaper under the tires.
We came back to the house, watched Toy Story and ate pizza. it was the most fun we’ve had in a long time.
