I’m not sure what it says that the stairwell at work has to post the number of calories I’ve burned while walking from one flight to the next. I’m guessing this is when I’m going up because if you walk down the number of calories decreases with each flight.
But here’s my question…why do I lose 25 calories between flights four and five but lose 30 calories between five and six? Do you burn more calories when at higher elevations?
It must be related to physics or gravity. I’m not a scientist so it may forever remain a mystery to me.
