My friend, Mac will tell you that I don’t often buy a good bottle of wine. He would be right. Most often, I grab a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Cabernet Sauvignon for $5.99 at Kroger and drink a glass with dinner for three nights in a row.
But every once in a while, I get a nice bottle. Every so often, I purchase a bottle of wine that is a step up from my usual lower-shelf selections.
One glass is all I need to enhance the flavors of my meal. I don’t down the bottle. I don’t consume the container. I simply enjoy the good flavor of a good meal and a glass of Cab.
Tonight was one of those nights. I ate my food, staying under my calorie goal for the day and relaxed with a beautiful red wine while Purdue got beat in the Big 10 Tourney. It was a nice evening. It was a perfect way to end my day.
