And so, while I wait for my wife’s delayed flight from Atlanta, I decided to work on my Positivity. I’m reading a fantastic book and would encourage anyone who feels that they are just slogging through life to pick it up. It is the scientific reporting of studies conducted over many years. It outline the correlation between our positive to negative ratio and our ability to thrive.
You’ll have to read it yourself to get the full impact, but in short, if you experience 3 positives to every one negative, you will thrive.
For instance, some might think that a wait in the airport for a delayed flight is a terrible waste of time and might, in fact, become rather agitated at the situation. I, on the other hand, saw it as a wonderful opportunity to sip a Sam Adams, people watch, talk with the server and read my book. It was a very relaxing way to end my day. I enjoyed the conversation and the view.
I think this Positivity just might work!
