We are tired kids and after so much excitement, we were ready for bed early.
But this is the thought that comes to me every time we come to the mountains: We’re so very small.
We work hard to control our lives, to shape our futures and to direct our own paths. In reality, the mountains were here long before we started and will be here long after we are gone. Our plans and schemes don’t mean nearly as much as we think they do. The mountains tell me so.
